Feedback from trialling schools found that Cherish seamlessly became a part of the fabric of a busy school day, blending into the curriculum and school ethos. Continuing to collaborate closely with production companies, Cherish has been offering high-quality animation and film content, proving its value through research case studies on the impact of their learning resources in schools. They continue to enjoy a loyal client base, with repeat buyers and a growing database of customers, with word-of-mouth remaining one of their strongest marketing tools for multi-academy trusts and local authorities.
After Cherish, 78% of children said they knew how to be calm when they felt angry.
Striking out to new customer bases in the UK and internationally, Cherish hopes to develop new content, adapting its business model with new income streams, such as innovative digital deliveries and in-person workshops in schools and communities. Cherish is in the process of expanding its team, including planning for a new co-director, who is currently inhabiting a CTO role. Extending the income streams of the business model will enable Cherish to increase profitability, while streamlining development shall also enable them to increase income in the future. Towards the end of 2024, the team has the opportunity to raise limited seed funding to fit their project, which has the potential to be matched with non-equity funding.
“We took excellent learnings through all aspects of business with the programme, which along with the contacts we made propelled Cherish forward, forging a pathway through the complex world of business. The events were inspiring and perfectly pitched, and we’re grateful to everyone for their energy, focus and tireless support.”
