Destined to revolutionise homeschooling for families worldwide, Collage is a dynamic digital platform designed to simplify, record, and celebrate educational achievements.

Providing homeschooling parents with an intuitive and organisational tool, Collage empowers and enables young learners and their parents on their homeschooling journey. By allowing intuitive recording and a comprehensive view of a child’s learning experiences through a user-friendly interface, Collage has the potential to become a valuable tool in many homeschoolers’ lives — a timely tool in the face of shifting homeschool legislation.

How this year’s shaped up

Over the last 12 months, Homegrown Learning LTD has been busy increasing its visibility and stakeholder engagement at a pivotal time, as new home learning legislation is rolling out by the UK Government. With founder Sarah Cudmore’s in-depth knowledge and understanding, not only of the institutional aspects of education, having been a former head teacher, but also the home-learning landscape, she’s rightfully staking her claim as a key influencer in this area.

2023 / 2024 Highlights

  • A market research trip to the USA to help scope and plot out an approach to take the app to overseas territories.
  • Changing home school legislation and educational landscape with three times as many children not attending school full-time, provides an increased opportunity for educational tools like Collage.
  • The team has increased to include a CCO and COO.
  • Increased e-mail traction by 59% in a year.
  • Build-up to launch of the app on the App Store planned for early July 2024.

“I’d really recommend Collage to everyone to help collect your experiences, it helps you clear the mist from your brain, and keeps you focused on what the next step will be to achieve your goals.” Lox, 11, Collage Ambassdor

Where they’re setting their 2024/25 sights

  • The Collage App is targeting the UK market within the next six months.
  • Using extensive research from a trip to the USA — enabled by the Global Explorers Grant — to embed Collage within the US homeschool market.
  • Homegrown Learning is setting sights on the global market of £4.3M.

Growing with Creative UK

“It’s been great to be part of the Growth Programme. The way it was set up so that we could ask for things to be put on, or meetings to be arranged around our needs meant it all felt very personal.”
