iMayflower Ideate, the programme set up by DCMS and Plymouth County Council, included 20 companies working in immersive technology across Plymouth, including; Real Ideas Organisation, University of Plymouth, Arts University Plymouth, Crowdfunder, Destination Plymouth.
As well as offering business support, Creative UK hosted bespoke mentoring programmes and events and helped to establish a Plymouth Film Office through its Filming in England team. The new office hosted crew nights, both in person and virtually to support the local talent, created a promotion video to showcase Plymouth as a versatile location for high end film and TV work, which culminated in exhibiting at the annual FOCUS industry event in London in 2021. Creative UK and Plymouth City Council are continuing to work together to support the iMayflower Ideate Businesses.
