Opening Gala

For the first time in Creative Coalition history, this year we launched the UK’s largest annual festival for the Creative Industries with a spectacular in-person opening gala.

On Tuesday 28 February 2023, creative leaders, trailblazing talent and political decision-makers came together at Southbank Centre, London, for an evening celebrating the UK’s world-leading Creative Industries. The evening stimulated new connections and conversations about the future of our sector.

Co-hosted by TikTok, the event’s speakers and performers included: model, actress and activist, Lily Cole; author and poet Hollie McNish, the 2022 BRIT Rising Star nominee, Lola Young, and Culture Secretary Rt Hon Lucy Frazer KC MP, who announced a £2.6 million investment to support the UK’s Creative Industries.
