Proactively plan your year with Creative England’s Growth Programmes

2021 may have started with a stumble rather than a stroll and, for business owners, the last year has been an especially brutal tumble, which is why we recognise the need to do our part and continue to inspire screen sector businesses through our growth opportunities.

And so, on the cusp of February, we’re wishing the January blues farewell and welcoming a new set of initiatives, all designed to help those working in the creative industries, to realise their growth potential and proactively plan for the year ahead.

We hope that our programmes, cohort activity and virtual events can inspire and motivate the industry, and we look forward to meeting even more incredible creators, who play a vital part in driving that industry forwards.

Wakefield mentoring is open for applications

If you’re based in the Wakefield/wider Yorkshire and Humber area, and looking to grow your business, our Advance programme with Wakefield Council could help you get there. Whether you’re looking to gain industry contacts, take a new product to market or find investment, we will partner you with sector specialists to help you achieve your goal.

You can find out more about the mentors involved, as well as how to apply, here.

Creative Enterprise Early Growth Programme

The most recently launched programme of ours has been designed for those working with screen-based products and services in the English regions, who have the potential and ambition to scale up.

We’re looking for up to 20 founders of screen-based companies to join us on this 6-week programme through a series of workshops as we provide you with the knowledge and insight to manage growth and maximise potential.

Find out more about the workshops and who we’re looking to work with here.

Jumpstart your business

‘Jumpstart your business’ is a new webinar series that we’ve introduced this month, created to help you open for business.

Delivered by our Ideate Manchester programme, we’re looking for Greater Manchester attendees to join us as we cover different essential topics on how to efficiently start up your own creative business. In the midst of lockdown 3.0, this may well be the perfect time to pluck up the courage to start up your own new venture, we certainly think so!

Find out more and secure your free spot on the next webinar of the series here.

Supporting underrepresented game developers – Tentacle Zone

We’ve partnered with Payload Studios, Media Tonic Games, Green Man Gaming, Ukie and the University of Greenwich on a four month virtual games incubator programme for early stage developers from underrepresented groups.

This is a great opportunity for those looking to further themselves as game developers but who don’t have the easiest pathway there. Oh, and to convince you further – the programme is completely free.
