During this past year on the Growth Programme, Epic, Innovate UK, and Creative UK have all
championed Engine House with grants and support. The company has now appointed an advisory board of seasoned experts, which collaborates, steers, and empowers the team to apply their learnings towards forward-thinking productions. Moreover, the team has welcomed some game-changing tools and a new production pipeline over the last year. A small team with soaring ambitions, Engine
House is eager to get underway on some big projects in collaboration with other industry players. Commissions from CIOS LEP and Innovate UK have enabled them to work with international organisations and the regional cluster, including two Create Growth programme businesses, MindFeast and Genera Lab.
Two new exciting feature-length slate projects will allow Engine House to deliver more unique stories and diverse storytellers to audiences.
Having identified a clear need in response to the current industry challenges, they’ve defined an ultimate ambition for the coming year, seeking investment to help fund their first feature film.
“We’ve really enjoyed this programme. We’ve grown our network and have really benefited from the mentoring sessions. The positive pressure of having a deadline to pitch for and making our ‘ask’ really clear, has helped us present in an effective way.”
