Creative UK: Manchester have launched a new mentoring scheme aimed to provide bespoke one-to-one support to creative and cultural practitioners, freelancers and organisations from any creative field or artistic discipline, who are based in the Greater Manchester region.
We are offering participants 12 hours of fully funded support with a mentor of their choosing to complete within 6 months.
This scheme is designed to build confidence and support participants to develop better communication skills, to expand your imagination, perspectives and ideas. As a mentee on the programme, you will be able to tap into the wisdom of skilled experts, have access to a supportive sounding board and someone who will be able push your boundaries in a safe space.
We welcome applications from businesses and individuals across Greater Manchester. Applicants at any stage of business growth and level of experience within the creative sector will be considered. Some criteria to consider:

In 2015 he published ‘Set the Storyworld to Random’, a book about how to connect with modern transmedia audiences. He also delivers talks and training around the world at Media Festivals and online.

Lucy runs TV company Yellow Door Productions which specialises in scripted comedy and comedy drama. Lucy worked for BBC and Sky for 16 years heading up comedy for both Broadcasters. Through Yellow Door, Lucy has been responsible for the comedy ‘The Cockfields’ for Gold starring Joe Wilkinson, Sue Johnston, Nigel Havers and she has made two Urban Myths for Sky Arts “The Mysterious Case of Agatha Christie’ starring Anna Maxwell Martin and ‘Hendrix and Handel’ starring David Haig. Lucy is soon to go into production with Ruby Speaking, a sitcom set in a call centre starring Jayde Adams, soon to be seen in this year’s Strictly Comedy Dancing.
