BBC Academy: Climate Creatives 2022
Climate Creatives returns online on Wednesday 14 September. One year on from the UN’s landmark Climate Change Conference (COP26) find out what’s changed in the broadcast industry and how creatives can respond. The event shares the latest thoughts from Commissioners, production staff, and those whose hit shows are communicating climate stories to millions across the globe. Sponsored by the BBC’s Chief Content Officer, Charlotte Moore and delivered by BBC Academy in partnership with albert, Creative UK, the Royal Television Society, Doc Society and the BFI.
Production Futures ON TOUR

Creative Ambitions – new programme for creative entrepreneurs
Creative Entrepreneurs Club present Creative Ambitions – a first of its kind, free programme designed by freelancers for freelancers. The focus is on providing useful and practical knowledge needed to upskill or even re-skill entirely. The programme features a curated selection of modules, live group discussions and access to a closed community space for you and your peers with loads of bonus content available. Whether you’re struggling with connecting to your customer, getting investment, or understanding how to grow your offerings, Creative Ambitions has you covered. Participants must to be based in Scotland and over 25 years old.
That is Class: Become a Critical Friend
That is Class helps arts organisations identify and break down classist barriers by offering tailored advice through their critical friend service. “So far the reviews have been fantastic “says self-identified working class mum of two Ellese, the founder of That is Class. “I started That is Class after being being selected to be part of a cohort funded by the London Mayor;’trying to improve jb condiions for creative freelancers in London. Time and time again, it seemed so strikingly obvious that the arts industry needs to radical overhaul to get more working class people through the mysterious door. ”
That is Class is offering their critical friend service to up to 50 arts organisations. “I’m looking forward to working with more arts organisation to help make a very long overdue and lasting change within the arts.” Says its founder.
Film London: Locations & Facilities Officer
Film London, the capital’s screen industries agency, are recruiting a Locations and Facilities Officer. This position is a key role in the Production Services Team, which sits within the Inward Investment and Business Development (IIBD) Department. London is one of the biggest film and TV production centres in the world. Promoting London locations and facilities to potential productions both domestic and international, this post is key to ensuring that London maintains its reputation and current position. The Head of Communications & Marketing develops & delivers effective communications & marketing that connect and showcase these activities both within and beyond the university, driving participation and audiences, and reinforcing King’s role at the forefront of higher education engagement with the cultural sector. The Project Coordinator supports the development, delivery and communications of a wide range of exhibitions, events, projects & programmes. They will have experience of digital communications including copywriting, administration, digital skills, project management, and supporting the production of exhibitions and events. They work closely with other members of King’s Culture and with colleagues across the wider university and cultural sector. Deadline: 21 August.
